Catering FAQs

ORDERING
Place an order by emailing babycakestruck@gmail.com or online on our website.  Catering order minimum is $275.

For the best pricing, please email us directly before placing an order on the website or through a 3rd party vendor.

Menu and prices are subject to change.

HOURS
Delivery is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, with 24 hour notice preferred.  

Please contact us regarding events with shorter lead times and we will try to accommodate the request.

FOOD
One of the most common questions we get is, "does Babycakes just serve breakfast food, or just serve food at breakfast time?"

The answer is no!  We cater our menu 24/7!  And though innovative breakfast food is our focus, our team of talented chefs can make food for any occasion.

DISPOSABLES
Plates, utensils, napkins, servingware, condiments and food labels are included at no additional charge with each order.

Chafing stands & sternos can be provided upon request, with a small additional charge.

TRANSPORT
Food is transported in catering warmers, which hold items at a safe temperature, ensuring that the meal arrives piping hot and fresh.

SET UP
Our delivery drivers are trained for all types of venues and occasions.

The driver will arrange the food, set out disposables, and assemble chafers and sternos, if applicable.

DELIVERY FEE
Delivery is $20 within Chicago city limits.  For deliveries up to 20 miles outside the city limits, we charge $30.  Inquire for pricing for longer distances.

DEPOSITS
Payments for orders under $300 are due upon booking. 

For all bookings above $300, a 30% deposit is required to book the date and time.

PAYMENTS
Final payments are due two business days prior to service. Any payment made after the date of service will be subject to a $25 per day late fee.

GRATUITY
Gratuity is not included in quotes but can be added upon client request. Any gratuity added will go directly to our grateful, hardworking staff.

PAYMENT METHODS
Payments are made online by credit card. Zelle payments can be sent to babycakestruck@gmail.com.  Venmo payments can be sent to @babycakespancakes

ILLINOIS SALES TAX
Prices do not include retail sales tax, currently 10.25%

FOOD TRUCK
Service is available within Chicago city limits with a service fee of $200 for a standard 2 hour stop. Service available outside Chicago with an additional mileage fee.

Total order minimum of $1500 required for food truck service.

Please note - we do not take the truck out to sell to the public, it can only be reserved for prepaid bookings.

TASTINGS
We are happy to provide tastings for large potential bookings.  Please contact us with event details.

CANCELLATIONS
All prepayments and deposits will be returned in full if event is canceled by the client 30 days or more prior to the event.

If canceled less than 14 days prior, the full deposit will be retained by Babycakes. If canceled less than 7 days prior, a 50% payment will be required to cover the cost of supplies.  If cancelled less than 72 hours prior, full payment will be required.

If canceled by Babycakes for any reason, all deposits and prepayments will be returned immediately.

CUSTOM ITEMS & BUDGETS
We are happy to assist with creating a custom menu for your event, to offer suggestions for dietary restricted groups, or work to accommodate a specific budget.

CONTRACTS
We are happy to provide a contract with terms & conditions upon request.

INSURANCE
Babycakes maintains General, Automobile and Liability Insurance in excess of two million dollars.
